WebmSitePing is a small program for pinging a specified website.
You can set a couple of parameters: the website/domain, ping interval, ping time, double checking, double checking the address and notify when there is a program update.
Features:
- WebmSitePing pings a domain/IP to check whether it responds or not.
- You are able to set the ping interval and the ping timeout time.
- You can enable Double Check, which will - if the desired domain/IP does not respond - check a website which is almost guaranteed to respond (like google.com). This will check whether your internet connection is available or not.
- Helpful interface with a help for almost everything (just place your cursor above the text fields etc. and wait until the hint pops up).
- You can make WebmSitePing automatically start with Windows.
- You can make it write all events to a log file.
- You can temporarily pause the pinging.
- WebmSitePing can either show a balloon hint or execute a program (or open a file or command) if the domain/IP does not respond.
WebmSitePing:
- Is freeware!
- Does not need to be installed. Just run the exe file.
- Is portable! It saves any setting in an ini-file in its own folder (with the exe-file).
- Does not contain virus, spyware or other unwanted things.
System requirements:
- Microsoft Windows XP or Vista
- A connection to the Internet
In Version 1.5 there is a (very small) bug: WebmSitePing will not ping sites automatically if is it the first time WebmSitePing is running (no ini-file in the folder). Just let WebmSitePing save the settings, exit and then reopen the program again and it will work just fine!
